Hornseth speaks at Hill Country Chamber Mixer
June 21, 2005
Tuesday, June 21, was an informative evening for the Hill Country Chamber of Commerce (HCCC) members. Guest speaker, Thomas H. Hornseth, P.E. appointed County Engineer, presented a power point presentation on current growth in the hill country area that included GBRA’s water line servicing areas, highway frontage limitations, the Alamo Area Regional Mobility Authority plans, tax percentage allotments on highway funding, and different types of approved sewage systems in the County.
Hornseth said growth is surging faster then ever before, “There is a lot of growth and a lot of money being attracted to our county.”

Tom Hornseth unveiled a great new internet software program that will be online for the public to use in upcoming weeks, a geographical information system. This program is a layered mapping system that will allow the users to search for information regarding hydrograhy/flooding, topographic maps, aerial photos, schools, flood planes, and Edwards’s Aquifer information all

Real Estate brokers, developers, contractors and individuals will be able to save hours of time by pulling up documents providing information that they would normally have to obtain through telephone calls or drives to the county courthouse. Hornseth encouraged people to visit their website at www.cceo.org.
“It is a huge tool and it will help a lot of people out; you don’t need to pay anything, you can just use it,” said Hornseth.
