• Ability to expand into other
market areas – Traditional chambers generally focus
on a clearly defined geographical area, usually one community.
The Hill Country Chamber although presently centered
in the Bulverde/Spring Branch area is expanding beyond those
areas and with that opportunity to grow your market presence
into new here to unexplored markets is there. Currently, the
Chamber has members in Bulverde, Spring Branch, Blanco, Boerne
and New Braunfels. As the Chamber grows in strength,
you may find it no longer necessary to be a member of multiple
chambers.
• Marketing Opportunities – with in Chamber Members and
with in the local Communities. Examples, Grand Openings, Sponsorship at the annual
golf outing and similar events.
• Networking – using Chamber functions to meet other owners
and operators of small businesses allows for an exchange of ideas, the establishment
of business contacts and the possibilities of referral business.
• Pro Business Representation – the Chamber is a pro business
organization that will represent the best interests of the business community
to local, county and state governments.
• Social responsibility – the Chamber provides opportunities
and engages in socially responsible activities that help to improve the local
communities. Helping to collect monies for Katrina victims is but
one of many examples that come to mind. The recent Scholarship Foundation Fund
Raiser was strongly supported by Chamber members and directly benefited
the local communities by providing scholarships to local high school students.
• Independent Leadership for Business – Many Chambers derive
a significant percentage of funding from local government but the Hill Country
does not. That frees the Hill Country Chamber to represent business
without undo governmental influence.
• Internet Presence – the Hill Country’s newly designed
and continually evolving web site links to all business members’ sites
and provides an excellent tool for improving your business’s
exposure on the Internet.
• Educational Opportunities – Periodically the Chamber will
sponsor opportunities for small businesses to improve their skills through educational
programs. Marketing and managing County Growth are just two of such
programs already conducted. |
